Upcoming Important Dates to Notes:
Welcome President Hicks:
Grade 2 enjoyed a quick pop-in this morning with Dr. Kevin Hicks and his wife Cornelia Holden. It was a pleasure for us all to meet them! Our classroom ambassador did an excellent job greeting them both and letting them know what we were up to. What an exciting time to be a Pirate!
Reading Homework Expectation:
Way to step it up students! Please continue help your child take ownership of their personal materials and responsibilities which include: bringing and turning in Take Home folders, taking home and practicing “Just Right”/biography books, and keeping a nightly log of reading. Students can get a fresh log in the classroom if they need another. We expect that all second grade students are reading for a minimum of 20 minutes each night and are logging their reading themselves.
